IPE Decking Cons:

• Ipe doesn’t accept stains very well. You usually need to oil the deck every 4-6 months to keep that dark brown color.

• Ipe only has 2 colors – brown – grey

• Ipe is a PITA to work with – increased labor cost

• Ipe – warps, twists, movement is high. Unreliable.
