Are there colour variations in the wood or is it fairly uniform?
Green World Mahogany is uniform in colour.
How easy is it to get the red out? – i.e. can it be beached and stained a less red colour?

The Mahogany Offered through Green World Lumber is true Genuine Mahogany - Swietenia macrophylla. Not to be confused with cheaper imitations, such as Philippine Mahogany, African Mahogany and Royal Mahogany. Swietenia macrophylla is what most consider to be the real and true species when referring to “Mahogany.”

Is Green World Mahogany Kiln dried or air dried?
Green World Mahogany is Kiln dried down to approximately 12% moisture. Most other hardwood decking products are Air Dried or Green, making them susceptible to potential end checking.
